Locations Realtors Evelyn F. Rooney and Sunny Lee-Oshiro were recognized by the Honolulu Board of Realtors® with a prestigious Aloha ‘Āina REALTOR® Award for exceptional client service on December 12, 2025. Nominated by their client, they are among ten award winners selected by a panel of judges from more than 500 nominees.
Evelyn and Sunny proved their exceptional value by guiding a family through an overwhelming situation with patience and expertise. After four years of foreclosure stress and the risk of losing his longtime family home, the client turned to Evelyn and Sunny, who stepped in with compassion, clarity, and relentless advocacy. They created a realistic path forward using careful financial analysis and worked directly with the commissioner and bank to keep the door open. Once their client agreed to sell, they moved quickly—staging, coordinating repairs and cleaning, marketing through a slower market and the holidays. They negotiated firmly to protect their client from lowball attempts, managed delicate dynamics with the commissioner, and ultimately closed the sale on Christmas Eve, allowing their client to walk away with money in his pocket and a fresh start. Evelyn and Sunny showed grit, compassion and true aloha to their client when it mattered most.
A Realtor® since 2014, Evelyn represents clients across Oahu, with experience spanning leasehold properties, new construction, single-family homes, foreclosures and luxury homes. She holds the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designation, and is experienced in assisting seniors, caregivers, and multigenerational families with their special real estate needs. Evelyn is a Locations Foundation Guardian Donor and active volunteer.
With nearly 20 years of experience, this is Sunny’s second Aloha ‘Aina win. An active member of the Hawaii real estate community, she has served in several volunteer roles for the Hawaii Association of Realtors and is currently director for the Honolulu Board of Realtors Leeward Regional Group. Outside of real estate, Sunny volunteers with many local charities, including the American Heart Association, American Cancer Association, Lupus Foundation, HUGS, AIDS Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Ronald McDonald House & PACT.
