Real estate runs in Rio’s family. His grandmother is a real estate professional in Japan, his mother also holds a real estate license in Japan, and his father is a licensed real estate professional in Hawaii. Born in Japan and raised on Oahu, Rio grew up between Japanese and American cultures. This background gives him a unique understanding of clients navigating Hawaii real estate locally, from out of state, or from Japan. Fluent in both Japanese and English, he provides real estate services in both languages.

Rio earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His background in economics gives him a strong foundation for understanding housing markets, interest rates, pricing, and the financial considerations that influence real estate decisions.

Rio works with first-time homebuyers, condominium and townhome buyers, single-family home buyers, sellers, investors, and property owners. He guides clients through the buying and selling process, from the initial consultation and property search to negotiations and closing. He also assists clients with 1031 exchanges, overseas buyers, and property owners selling Hawaii real estate while living abroad.
