Prices are Moving Up in Hawaii Kai

With the median price of a single family home hovering in the mid-$600,000 range island-wide, Hawaii Kai has a new bottom line. The $700,000-plus price range has been the new norm for the east side suburb for a few months now, and with only a handful of homes in the market under $1,000,000 it doesn't look like that's going to change soon.

Crossing over the $1,000,000 mark opens things up a little bit, as there are more homes in that price range, but the homes range from the $1,000,000 Mariner's Cover single family dwelling to the $6,000,000 mansions in Portlock. So it looks as though Hawaii Kai's home values will have staying power for the foreseeable future.

With low inventory and rising home prices, if you're looking to purchase in this area, make sure you meet with your REALTOR® to discuss the best strategy, so you get the home you want.

Hawaii Kai Towne Center Hosts 17th Annual "Festival of Lights" Christmas Boat Parade

If you're a Hawaii Kai resident, then you know it's not Christmas until you visit the "Festival of Lights" Christmas Boat Parade!  This is one of East Oahu's major attractions and one that families look forward to attending each year.

On December 21st, from 4:30 to 8:30p.m. boat owners take to the water to show off their colorful lights and various boats.  Everyone tries to out-do each other, decorating their vessel in different Christmas and holiday themes.

The Hawaii Kai Marina Community Association sponsors the event, and every boat owner who enters has the chance to win incredible prizes from the Hawaii Kai Marina Christmas Boat Parade. Click here if you’d like to enter your boat into the parade.
