Shari Motooka-Higa

Shari S. Motooka-Higa has dedicated more than 30 years to serving Hawaii’s seniors and their families. As a Certified Senior Advisor, she has built a distinguished career in the senior industry, serving as a respected speaker, instructor, and consultant.

A graduate of the University of Hawaii, Shari began her professional journey with the Management Consulting Group of Ernst & Young, LLP, where she worked with private organizations as well as State Community Hospitals, including long-term care and acute care facilities. She later broadened her expertise through roles with leading financial institutions, real estate companies focused on senior housing, healthcare providers, and senior living communities.

For over two decades, Shari has presented and hosted senior seminars throughout the islands, educating the community on the full spectrum of senior living and housing options. Her commitment to education has earned her a substantial and loyal following—both among the public and professionals across the senior care industry.

Recognized statewide as an expert in senior housing and care options, Shari is Hawaii’s only instructor for the National Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation course. She has also authored multiple continuing education credit courses approved by the Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs for healthcare professionals and Realtors.
