A four-decade-plus veteran REALTOR® at Locations, Wayne Nishida recalls the days before lock boxes: "You had to pick up keys at the listing agent's office, show the property, and then return the keys to the listing agent's company." Wayne also remembers typing offers and hand delivering them - if a counter-offer was made, he had to re-type the offer.
In the days before the bi-weekly MLS Book, your source of listings was a box of computer punch cards. "If you dropped the box and the cards fell out, it was a disaster," Wayne said.
As Hawaii's oldest locally owned real estate firm, Locations has been privileged to be part of - and often leading - the changing landscape of real estate technology and best practices for nearly 50 years. And while a lot has changed, one thing that hasn't is our people and their commitment to helping Hawaii's families find their way home.
