9916 Kamehameha V Hwy Kaunakakai, Molokai 96748

Perched on a bluff above the Pailolo Channel, this 675 sq ft cottage is oceanfront Molokai at its most quiet and unspoiled. The views are unobstructed and uninterrupted, reaching across the channel to Maui, Lanai and Kahoolawe, and on a clear day all the way to the Big Island. Built in 1995 by the current owners, this home reflects a deep respect for the land it sits on. Oversized foundation posts anchored on concrete footings sit within a thoughtful footprint, letting the setting remain the focus. The result is a home balanced with its surroundings rather than imposed on them. Two bedrooms, one bath, and a 105 sq ft covered deck built to put you right at the ocean's edge. Set on .63 acres with a private yard and direct beach access, and the kind of seclusion the east end of Molokai is known for. There is only so much oceanfront on Molokai, and a setting like this can't be duplicated. This is a property defined by its location and sense of place. After years of loving and caring for it, the current owners are ready to turn the page and pass it on to its next steward.
