Retired San Jose Police Lt. Protecting Peoples Rights for 30 Years

Pre-Planning for each transition in our lives is a key component to our quality of life, not only for us as individuals, but how planning or lack thereof affects our entire Ohana.

As a Senior Real Estate Specialist or SRES, I have demonstrated the necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients age 50+ through major financial and lifestyle transitions. These transitions may include aging in place, relocating to a smaller residence, multigenerational living, upsizing with other family members, or selling the family home.

Having been blessed with a law enforcement career of 30 years, my sworn oath was to ensure that peoples rights were protected. As your realtor of choice, my VALUE TO YOU whether your buying or selling, is to ensure that your rights are protected, and that you fully understand the terms and conditions of the contracts. This is done through honest and open communication while educating you as to each step of the process.

Why I chose to live in Hawaii?

My Ohana lives in and is from Hawaii. Although I obtained my college education on the mainland, I spent the majority of time away from school and work vacationing in Hawaii at the home of relatives. The lure and lifestyle of Hawaii was too strong to resist. Ever since I can remember, my dream was always to “return home” and purchase a home in Hawaii. Historically, Hawaii offers stable home appreciation, and is consistently rated as one of the healthiest states to live in. Both factors a plus.

All work and no play?

Hawaii is not the place for all work and no play. We all need balance in our lives. I enjoy competitive 6-man outrigger canoe racing which allows me to be out on the ocean, and if I’m lucky, see some fish and turtles while getting my workout in.

Because I apparently “look the part”, I’ve been cast as a surf instructor and bartender for the TV show Mad Men. And probably due to the adage of “once a cop, always a cop”, I have appeared as a detective and bodyguard in the remake of Hawaii-Five O…Book em Danno!

Connecting with Others

I’ve had some of the best meals and conversations with friends and strangers dressed in shorts and a tank top while enjoying local music and sunsets. I really enjoy playing tour guide to my Silicon Valley friends having them experience Hawaii as a resident would, avoiding the dreaded “tourist traps”. As a resident, I continue to explore what Oahu, and the State of Hawaii has to offer. Everyday is a new discovery.

I feel its also important to be engaged in giving back to the community in which I live and work. I donate time and professional expertise to Ho'ola NaPua  A local community based non-profit organization that is committed to the renewal of the sex trafficking of girls through health, education, advocacy and reintegration. Be a part of our community today. Please visit the website. www.Ho'olaNaPua.org to learn more.

I also devote time to the protection of the Hawaiian Monk Seal which is on the endangered species list, through on site monitoring and public education. www.monkseals.org

I would be honored to have the opportunity to chat with you regarding my experiences not only as a Hawaii first time homebuyer relocating from California, but how we can work collaboratively in ensuring that you and your family can achieve your Hawaii real estate dreams.
