My story of how I came to Hawaii may be similar to how some of you came to the islands as well.

I was born and raised in Taiwan where I was also educated. I graduated from Aletheia University (in Taiwan) where I majored in Accounting and Statistics.

Coming from an island environment, I immediately felt very comfortable with the surroundings on Oahu. Although I initially came to Hawaii on vacation in 1993, it was apparent that fate had something much greater in store for me. Not only did I instantly fall in love with this beautiful island but on my very first day on the island, I also met the love of my life. And within a short period of time, we were married and I promptly moved to Hawaii permanently to start my new life with my husband. And after twenty plus years of marriage, we now have one college aged daughter who is currently attending school at Seattle University.

I believe that as a realtor, real estate is a business that requires a wide swath of both business, and life experiences. This is critical in being able to put oneself in the clients’ shoes, to accurately understand, as well as prioritize what needs to be done when buying or selling real estate.

In Taiwan, I spent 10 years in sales and marketing which include 5 years working for an international trading company and 5 years working at International trade associations. I primarily worked with Taiwanese manufacturers who required me to attend trade shows all over the world including Europe, the Middle East and Asia. This work experience has given me extensive breadth of knowledge which affords me the opportunities to draw from this “toolbox” and represent to the best of my ability, the needs, wants, and expectations of my clients. Although at the time I didn’t know it, these different experiences have helped my negotiation skills, understand multi-cultural differences and improved my people skills that I use every day in my real estate career.

Real estate is also a business that constantly changes as technology and the markets adapt to a shrinking world. To stay ahead of the movement, I have constantly worked to improve myself through education and by obtaining various realtor designations. I earned the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) as well as E-pro designations. Most recently in 2016, I obtained my Broker’s License after being in the business for over 14 years.

This is a business based on human relationships, plain and simple. Over the years, I have made many friends who were both real estate agents and clients. I truly believe that honesty, efficiency and good communication is fundamental in being an exceptional real estate agent. My primary focus is always my client’s needs. Exceeding client expectations is my primary goal. It is with this commitment in mind, that I have been able to consistently achieve higher levels of sales transactions and volume year over year for these past 14 years. When I first started, I sold $350,000 in 2002. Fast forward to 2016. I now transact over 20 plus transactions and over $20,000,000 in annual sales. I now rank amongst the Top 100 agents on Oahu. As my growth as a realtor took place, so did my client base which moved from smaller priced condos, to now, the multi-million dollar price point.

Communication, commitment, and client focus are all foundational components of my belief system. Relationships are paramount to real estate.
