On a hot summer day in May, the Locations Foundation ‘ohana turned out to support the Special Olympics Hawaii Summer Games at Iolani School.
Special Olympics is a global organization that empowers people with intellectual disabilities through year-round sports training and athletic competition. The Special Olympics Hawaii Summer Games have been held continuously since 1968, and serves more than 4,700 athletes on every Hawaiian Island.
“The Special Olympics Summer Games hold a distinct place in our hearts,” said Foundation volunteer Sherrie Kuroda. “Locations Foundation volunteers have been participating in this annual event for years—it’s an amazing event that empowers these athletes and their families. We’re honored to be a part of it!” Kuroda added.
The nonprofit arm of Locations, the Locations Foundation supports more than 100 Hawaii family- and children-focused charities.
